December 22, 2016 - Trans Tech and Southern Bus & Mobility Sign Exclusive Dealership Agreement
Company is the latest addition to growing network of dealerships to provide Trans Tech’s industry-leading Type-A school buses
Warwick, NY – Trans Tech announced today that it has reached an agreement with Southern Bus & Mobility to be their exclusive dealer for sales and service of its full-line of Type-A school buses in the states of Illinois and Missouri. Trans Tech continues to expand its market across the United States and Canada by growing its dealer network and bringing customer-inspired innovation to its industry-leading Type-A school buses.
“Southern Bus & Mobility are an outstanding addition to our expanding network of dealerships, and we could not be more thrilled to have them on board,” said Trans Tech President, John Phraner. “With an unmatched dedication and service to their customers that spans over two decades, Southern Bus & Mobility are a perfect fit for us. We look forward to working with them in the years to come to provide customers in the states of Illinois and Missouri with the safest, most efficient, and toughest Type-A school buses on the road.”
Southern Bus & Mobility will sell and support Trans Tech’s entire lineup of industry-leading Type-A school buses, Multifunction School Activity Buses and commercial buses from its main facilities in Breese, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri. Southern Bus & Mobility recently took delivery of its first four Trans Tech Type-A school buses, three SST’s and one CST.
Trans Tech’s industry-leading safety features and unparalleled fuel efficiency were also key factors in Southern Bus & Mobility being awarded the contract in the state of Illinois to provide 14 passenger Multifunction School Activity Buses, 18+1 wheelchair accessible school buses, and 27 passenger school buses to the state.
“We are very excited about our exclusive dealership agreement with Trans Tech. After seeing firsthand how Trans Tech buses are manufactured, we knew we were dealing with a company that builds an incredibly safe, durable and dependable bus,” said Southern Bus & Mobility President, Tom Gerdes. “Trans Tech’s engineering and signature aerodynamic design provides for better fuel economy and contributes to an extremely quiet and less turbulent ride. We could not be happier to represent such an outstanding company and provide sales and service for Trans Tech’s entire lineup of Type-A school buses.”
All Trans Tech buses, including the ST Aero, SST, Roadstar, CST, eSeries, and newly unveiled Trans Star, built on the Ford Transit chassis, provide big-bus strength and enhanced crash protection.
“We will be working closely with Southern Bus & Mobility to make sure that we continue to manufacture buses that exceed their customers’ needs for safety, versatility and efficiency,” said Phraner. “Their feedback will also be essential in helping us meet our own expectations – designing, engineering and producing not only the best looking school bus on the road today, but one that leads the industry and surpasses all market expectations”.
